Increasing Employee Engagement With an  Activities Committee

Posted by Pekin Insurance on Nov 09, 2018

The Pekin Employee Activities Committee (PEAC) plans multiple events throughout the year to bring coworkers and sometimes family/guests together outside of work!

Employee engagement is always an important aspect of any work culture.  You want employees to feel included and that their ideas are valued, but you also want to provide fun opportunities for them to let loose with their coworkers.  Pekin Insurance does just that and finds many ways to show their appreciation to over 900 employees.  One way is with a committee called PEAC, which stands for Pekin Employee Activities Committee.

PEAC is comprised of ten members that cover most departments throughout the company.  Committee members bring ideas to the table that may be fun for employees, their families, and their guests to partake in.  Because there is such a variety offered, anyone is able to participate in as few or as many activities as they’d like.

So, what type of events does PEAC plan and offer to employees?  Take a look at some of them below!

  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Santa Visit
  • Hooked on Fishing
  • Wine & Paint Night
  • Rader Family Farms
  • Annual Company Event

These are just a few of the events that Pekin Insurance offers to its employees, and the schedule changes every year based on employee feedback.  The majority of the events are free to guests, but some events have a small fee with the larger portion being paid by the company.  This is just one of the ways that Pekin Insurance shows appreciation to its employees and fosters a work hard, play hard environment.
